The actor, born Terrence Steven McQueen. One of the first “cool” (cool) movie stars, a real icon of the generation of “Beatles”, McQueen drew from his own experience of the past: the student school for troubled teens, marines and tramp manage its own persona: purebred, grim, fatalistic loner who rely on their own instincts and considerable physical abilities to perceive a hostile environment. When finished, “the New York Actors Studio and has successfully made his Broadway debut in” full rain hat, “McQueen broke into movies with a small role in” Somebody up there loves you “(1956). He first starred in a stupid fantasy horror film “Bubble” (1958), honestly and seriously fulfilling its role in the cult favorite of young people, like playing Shakespeare. In the same year he created the character bounty hunter Josh Randall century TV series “wanted criminals: Dead or Alive” (1958 -1960), which further increased his popularity.
McQueen played one of ganfayterov in the “Magnificent Seven” (1960), and remember all the Soviet Union, then he has appeared in films: “The machine Honeymoon” (1961), “Hell is for Heroes” and “War Lover” (both in 1962 ) before you make a strong impression on the audience as derzskogo prisoner who tries to escape from the Nazis on a motorcycle in “The Great Escape” (1963). McQueen, whose off-screen passion was motorcycles, he did most of his own stunts in pursuit of memorable shots. He then starred in “Soldier in the Rain,” “Love with a suitable stranger” (both in 1963), “The Kid, the rain has to go,” “Cincinnati Kid” (both in 1965), “Nevada Smith” (the prequel to “Karpetbeggeram” based on the novel Harold Robbbinsa, “Sand Pebbles” (both in 1966, in the last film was “Academy Award” nomination) and “The Thomas Crown Affair” (1968), one of his most successful films. And then moviegoers trembled and were keen on the other mad rush, this time raced cars, and flew through the air on the hilly streets of San Francisco in “Bullitt” (also 1968), one of his most successful films.
By that time, at the peak of its popularity McQueen from time to time involved in direct action movies, bowing to the characters that are controlled by their character. These are such films as “Thieves” (1969), “Bonner Young” (1972) and “Butterfly” (1973, – all these pictures the upper class). He also participated in the filming of Bruce Brown documentary about motorcycle racing, his favorite hobby: “Any Sunday” (1971). Then he gave the fans the militants that they would: “Le Mans” (1971), “Escape” (1972) with Eli McGraw (1972, whom he later married), and “The Towering Inferno” (1974 Movie: The catastrophe). Obsessed with a host of personal demons, McQueen does not appear for several years; when he returned, it was almost impossible to find out: with a huge mane of hair and beard in preparation for the “pet projects” of Ibsen “Enemy of the People” (1977), which looked at a few of his fans. A few years later he suddenly appeared in two films mainstream: a Western “Tom Horn” and the history of the modern bounty hunters. The court releases suspects at will to the court, and some run away, knowing what awaits them. That is their reward announced the capture, and hence the word has gone “Bounty Hunter”. It started a long time ago (for the Americas), in the days of the Wild West.
He died of a heart attack during surgery cancer.
