10 nominations for the award Oscar and won one Oscar – this is only a small part of what community movie fans celebrated talents Paul Newman. Interestingly, Newman was not only a brilliant film makers – many knew him also as an outstanding racer.
 
Newman was born Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland (Shaker Heights, Cleveland). His father, Arthur Sigmund Newman, ran quite a successful sporting goods store. Paul’s mother was a Christian, his father – a Jew; Newman himself formally to any religion did not belong, however, a certain kinship with the Jewish culture is still felt.
Interest in theatrical activities Paul appeared quite early, and his mother encouraged the development of this interest. At age 7, Newman made his debut as an actor, playing the court jester in a school production of ‘Robin Hood’. After leaving school in 1943, while it Paul studied at the University of Ohio (Ohio University). Later he went to repay the Navy birthplace – Newman had a chance to serve in the Pacific. It is known that initially he planned to undergo flight training, but congenital blindness to put his plans bold cross. In the end of the arrow, and Paul did a radio operator. Paul Newman died on September 26, 2008, surrounded by family and children. The cause of death was the actor lung cancer, with which he fought with varying success in the last years of his life.
