In 1992, at the age of eighteen years, John began to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. John was educated at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and began his career in Wales. After some time, he attracted the attention of the world, playing a fifth assistant ship Harold Lowe in the film ‘Titanic’ (Titanic, 1997), and then – Lieutenant John Beals in the film ‘Black Hawk’ (Black Hawk Down, 2001) . Graffad born in the village of Llwydcoed, near Aberdare, city-county Rhondda Saynon-Taff in South Wales. Shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Cardiff. Parents Graffada, Peter and Gillian Griffith, were teachers. His father was a director of two secondary schools in Wales: first school Ysgol Gyfun Llanhar, and then – Ysgol Gyfun Llanhar. In Graffada a brother, Alan, John younger by two years, and sister Sivan, seven years younger.

After shooting in the series ‘Hornblower’ in February 2007 John began to think about getting the rights to shoot a feature film for the big screen on the novel.
In addition to working in film and television, Graffad also starred in the clip band ‘Westlife’ for the song ‘Uptown Girl’ (2001), along with Claudia Schiffer.
Mother tongue Graffada – Welsh. August 4, 2003, he became a member of the association of Iceland bards ‘Gorsedd Beirdd Ynys Prydain’, where he was brought under the ‘bard’ name – John.
