Meyer was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His mother, Dorothy Ann Meyer (Vial) was an agent in the local tourist office and a former microbiologist, and his father, Christopher William Meyer – management consultant. Due to the fact that parents were divorced, Breckin had to live in California, Texas, West Virginia and New Jersey. In elementary school, he studied with Drew Barrymore (and, in many sources, was the first to whom the future actress kissed). The girl introduced Breckin with his agent, and soon Meyer already had a contract. As a child he was shot mainly in television commercials; In addition, it showed up in the game show “Child’s Play” (“Child’s Play”) and played in films about John Garfield.
Breckin began acting career in 1991 – he played in “Freddy is dead: The Final Nightmare” (“Freddy’s Dead: Final Nightmare”) – an episode where he dies in animated computer game, certainly remembered by many viewers. In 2000 Breckin finally got a really big role – to hit the studio “Dreamworks” “Road Trip” (“Road Trip”) – he played the role of a college student who travels across the country in a desperate attempt to seize incriminating video. After this film, it became clear that Meyer has outgrown the wayside and it can become a real star. Its success he secured in the movie “Rat Race” (“Rat Race”), which successfully delivered in tandem with Amy Smart; in the romantic comedy “Kate & Leopold” (“Kate & Leopold”), where he performed the role of the brother of the main character; Novels and “Garfield” (“Garfield” / “Garfield 2: Tale of two kitties”) – master role Garfield, Jon Arbuckle.
