The city of Berlin is located at the confluence of the Spree and Havel in the eastern part of Germany. The total area of ??approximately 892 square kilometers – is the fifth in size city of the European Union. Berlin is one of the 16 federal states of Germany with the same name.
The city has two modern airports (Tegel and Schoenefeld), several railway stations and bus stations. Well-developed public transportation system makes it easy to reach any corner of the city – almost around the clock to service residents and visitors to the underground, bus and tram routes.

After the Second World War the city was divided between the victorious countries on four sectors of occupation. Three of them were subsequently merged into West Berlin during the Cold War were separated from the rest of the country of the famous Berlin Wall. Only in 1989 the wall, almost 30 years dividing the city into two camps, was destroyed, and the city reunited.
In subsequent years, Berlin has turned into a huge construction site, the German capital is healing the wounds recovering after a hard period of history. Yes, and just walk around the city can be very pleasant – many streets are planted with trees, so Berlin is considered a very “green” city. The biggest and most famous park in the city is the Tiergarten park.
Berlin is not in vain considered to be one of the world capitals of culture – in the city of a large number of museums, monuments, concert halls, theaters. Traditionally, the capital of Germany takes major music festivals such as Jazz Festival «Jazzfest».
