Beatrice married twice. First marriage to a French producer Louis topping Socialist activist, ended in divorce in May 1949. Just a week later, June 2, 1949, Beatrice married a second time. Her choice was Peter Cookson, American actor, with whom she lived for 50 years, until the end of the life of Peter. Beatrice bore her husband two sons, one of whom, Tony, dabbled as a director and screenwriter.
